Abel Tasman National Park, New Zealand

Motueka, Nelson and The Abel Tasman

"We both feel totally privileged to have shared your home and been the recipients of your wonderful hospitality. Thank you both for everything."
Motueka is located in the Abel Tasman region, neighbouring Nelson,
at the top of New Zealand's South Island.

Our region boasts the greatest sunshine hours of any in New Zealand
and is an area of stunning landscape vistas.

It's nestled between the Mt Arthur range in Kahurangi National Park
and the golden beaches of Kaiteriteri and the Abel Tasman Coastal Track
in New Zealand's Abel Tasman National Park.

Mountain walk then swim in the blue green waters, in the same day.

It is an area that is not only visually stunning but feeds the body and soul.
Spoil your taste buds in some of the cafés,
sample fine wines while discussing their merits with the winemaker,
taste boutique cheeses, purchase a unique piece of artwork
from one of the many and varied artisans in the area.
Enjoy Nelson's vibrant Saturday market or Motueka's local Sunday market.

Go horse-riding or stretch the legs and explore one of the many day walks,
laze on the beach, swim, sail, kayak or cruise the blue-green waters
of the Abel Tasman coastline.
Explore the marine reserve or view it while descending on a parachute -
Motueka aerodrome offers tandem parachute jumps or,
if you prefer, scenic flights.

Or just rest, relax and leave feeling rejuvenated.

Motueka River is renowned for its brown trout, so if you enjoy fly fishing,
one of New Zealand's best brown trout fishing rivers is only 5 minutes drive away.
We can arrange a local guide for you or give you directions
to one of the many access points and you can try your own luck.
Should you wish to go further afield, heli-fishing can also be arranged.

Take a day trip over Takaka Hill (purported to be New Zealand's longest)
and discover Golden Bay.
Enjoy the views out over the mountain ranges,
Abel Tasman and Kahurangi national parks along the way.

Whether you wish to be active, artistic, or just relax,
the Tasman and Nelson areas offer it all.

Copper Beech is your ideal base to explore it from -
then return to peace and tranquillity.
Whatever your interests, the only regret you'll have
is that your reservation isn't for longer.

"Thank you for your warm welcome and for a truly kiwi experience.
Thanks for all the advice on the best trips
and I may be back to skydive one day..."
